Dom Pérignon
Vintage 2015
Champagne · Brut Millésimé · Épernay · 75cl
€239
2015 was the hottest growing season Champagne had ever recorded — warmer even than 1976 and 2003 — and one of the driest. Cellar master Vincent Chaperon kept the wine more than eight years on its lees before releasing it in 2024. Toast and cocoa open onto jasmine, lime blossom and orange peel; the palate is delicate yet generous, with nectarine and bitter orange, and critics note citrus peel, white flowers, mint and slate.
Dom Pérignon makes vintage wine only, and only in years it judges worthy. The cuvée takes its name from the Benedictine cellar master of the Abbey of Hautvillers, who championed blending grapes from different vineyards in the late seventeenth century.
